Reason for the request:
numerous cracks in the walls and partitions;
sagging of the floor slab of the first floor in some rooms.
Within a short time, the cracks were enlarged and new ones appeared.
Problem:
voids under the floor slab. Subsidence of column and belt foundations. The reasons for precipitation were:
ground water;
leaks from water intake pits;
non-uniform bulk soil containing construction debris at the base of foundations.
Goal:
ground stabilization based on foundations;
filling cavities and stabilizing the ground of the floor slab base.
Completed works:
stabilization of the ground at the base of columnar foundations, foundation beams and belt foundations;
lifting self-retaining brick walls to close cracks;
filling cavities under the floor slab;
soil stabilization at the base of the floor slab.
Methods used: Deep Stabilization, Slab Lifting.
Scope of work: The work was carried out in a part of the building with an area of 330 m2.
